The Art of Nudes and Lewds - A photography workshop

Welcome to Aphrodisia!

We host classes specially designed to enhance connection and increase confidence. Please note all participants must be over the age of 18 years. Classes are capped to ensure that everyone can receive appropriate levels of attention and tuition.

We are excited to welcome you to The Art of Nudes and Lewds photography workshop. Learn how to showcase your best features and create spicy shots to keep and share.

This is an active workshop with the chance to practice angles, poses and editing, however our venue licensing does not allow for full nudity (in particular, it does not allow for genitals to be uncovered). Please wear clothing that gives a full range of movement, and that you will feel comfortable taking photos in. Clothing such as swimsuits, bodysuits or lingerie are more than welcome.  

Workshop content:

• Pre-class submission of questions and requests to be answered in workshop by our demonstrator
• Basic Posing and angles
• Flattering lighting
• Backgrounds and staging
• Editing in your phone
• Preloading lewds in apps
• Ways to continue home research and practice

Workshop Equipment Requirements

• You will need to bring a fully charged phone with photo capability.

Demonstrator:

Venus Chateau (She/Her) Body positivity ambassador and hype queen.

Venus has been immersed in art and photography her whole life, the child of two artists and a third-generation photographer. In 2014-2015 she studied fine art and photography at Newcastle Art School and in 2019 was a finalist in the Newcastle Emerging Artist Prize photography division.

Venus has experienced firsthand the affects others and words can have on our self-image and she has made it her mission to help everyone who she works with to see themselves through kinder eyes, realise the work of art their body is, and create beautiful photos that celebrate our unique beauty.

FAQs/T&Cs:

• Ticket price is per person. All attendees need to purchase a ticket to attend.
• We are located at the Ashtanga Yoga Studio in Newcastle West, on the top floor. There is a tall staircase to climb to access the space so please contact us with any mobility concerns.
• Participants are responsible for their own equipment and should check to ensure it is in safe, working order before attending a workshop.  Aphrodisia does not accept responsibility for any personal items that are lost or damaged during classes or events.
