Event description

"In a culture that glorifies busyness, rest is a skill that takes practice" - James Reeves.

The Art of Rest is a series of 4 weekly sessions to support you to reclaim your ability to deeply rest.

Each Sunday you will be guided to gently and mindfully harness your awareness with support of accessible breathing practices, gentle movement, self massage and restorative yoga.

These practices are curated specifically to down regulate your nervous system and promote restoration.

Intentionally slow down your pace and make Sunday a day of rest again.

Our focus;

  • What mindfulness is and isn't.
  • Mindful movement and stillness
  • Grounding
  • Sound and breathing
  • Interoceptive awareness

The Art of Rest series is a perfect antidote to modern living and would suit anyone seeking deep rest in their lives as well as those experiencing stress, insomnia, fatigue, those managing chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), adrenal fatigue and postnatal depletion.

No experience is necessary and all bodies are welcome however spaces are limited.

Each participant will receive a complimentary myofascial release "peanut" for self massage.

What to bring:

  • A light blanket/sarong to cover yourself
  • Socks if your feet get cold
  • A water bottle
  • Comfortable clothing for resting in
  • A low cushion or bath towel

The perfect Mother's Day gift!

*Please note this session is accessed by stairs and the room will be dimly lit to reduce light stimulation.
