This class unveils the rich heritage and communal essence of traditional Taoist tea ceremony, transforming ordinary moments into extraordinary gatherings of joy and connection.
Delve into the world of teas—explore the subtleties of green, red, oolong, and black teas, including the use of Gaiwan and Yixing clay pots. Mugen Roshi will share the etiquette and aesthetics of tea preparation, from setting a ceremonial tea table to optimizing the ambiance of your environment for the ultimate tea room experience.
Whether you seek a peaceful retreat or a meaningful shared experience, this class is your gateway to a moment of pure bliss.
The Art of Tea for Beginners is taught in 5 levels across two sessions, allowing you the time to practice and refine your newfound skills.
Class Schedule:
Day One, May 4th:
Level 1 - Teapots, tea accessories & the tea table.
Level 2 - The different types of tea & how to look for quality tea.
Level 3 - How to use teapots & tea for the taste and the highest experience.
Day Two, May 18th:
Level 4 - How to steep the tea properly and how to present it to optimize the experience.
Level 5 - Putting it all together and in a Tea Ceremony.
*Please Note: If you have previously taken the Online Tea Class, you are welcome to join us for Day Two at a discounted registration.

Time: Day One: 3 PM - 6:30 PM PST, Day Two: 3PM - 5:15PM PST
Early Registration: $500 (*Day 2 only: $250), ends April 26th.
Late Registration : $550 (*Day 2 only: $300) starts April 27th.
Registration Ends: May 2nd, 2024 - 12pm PST
Pre-Requisites: Practitioners of all levels may attend. All practitioners must sign and complete the Primordial Alchemist AOK Privacy Waiver prior to class in order to attend.
