The Art Train: Auckland Cultural Tours
Description
Join an Auckland local for a tour of the cities hottest street art and cultural spots via walking and rail travel.
Both train nerds and art lovers will be satisfied in this walking tour through Auckland Central's wicked street murals and new City Rail Link stations.
We begin at Karanga-a-hape Station, taking the laneways via St Kevin's Arcade, through Myers Park and down to the midtown Arts Quarter. From here we hop on the train and head to either Maungawhau or Waitematā Station (departure dependent), where we'll end our tour with more local art and either an evening aperitivo or a stroll around the local market.

Morning departures end at Maungawhau Station.

All tours start at Karanga-a-hape Station.
A minimum of four attendees is required for all tours. If minimum numbers are not reached, your ticket will be refunded.

The Route
Start: Karanga-a-hape Station
Meet us out the front of Karanga-a-hape Station (Mercury Lane entrance) ten minutes before your departure time.
Walking: Street Art, Myers Park, Arts Quarter
We'll begin our tour in the laneways of Karangahape before curving down through Myers Park and through to the midtown Arts Quarter.
Train Ride: Te Waihorotiu Station to Waitematā / Maungawhau
All aboard! We'll enter the underground to your final destination — Waitematā or Maungawhau Station.
End: Aperitivo or Farmers Market
We'll end either at a local favourite or farmers market. Continue your journey to dinner or for a walk up Maungawhau (Mount Eden).
