The Artist in the Wine Bar - April

Join us for another Artist Talk in our monthly series - “The Artist in the Wine Bar” - this month, featuring the fabulous Ingrid Boot.

Relax with a fine wine and some delicious food courtesy of our friends at Vic Rd Wine Bar all while hearing an insightful talk by Ingrid Boot. Ingrid will touch on her fascinating creative process delving into how she creates a world of such surreal beauty and elegance. She’ll share the inspiration behind some of her portraiture works, recent “Chanel Project” and give us an insight into some experiences that have really stood out to her in her career.

Ingrid is known for her realism and focus on historical fashion and is heavily inspired by Vintage Vogue. Her paintings all share a characteristic precision that makes the viewer feel like they are in the same room as her subjects. With her extreme attention to detail, each work that Ingrid creates is the product of many stages of creation and refinement.
After the talk you’re invited to join Ingrid over the road at Flagstaff Gallery where you’ll have the joy of chatting to her one on one and seeing a full exhibition of her works. The collection will be on display after the talk until Sunday 13 April.
