The Artist in the Wine Bar - May

Join us for another Artist Talk in our monthly series - “The Artist in the Wine Bar” - this month, featuring the exceptional Hollie O’Neill.

Enjoy a fine wine and delicious food courtesy of our friends at Vic Rd Wine Bar while experiencing an insightful talk by Hollie O’Neill. During the talk Hollie will discuss her abstract minimalism practice focusing on how the peaceful beauty of nature and its interaction with light inspire her creative process. She will delve into her distinctive use of mixed media, where layers of vibrant pigments are blended with epoxy polymer creating a luminous depth that captures light, colour, and emotion. Hollie will also highlight her New Zealand Animal series which uses colour to elevate each animal to an iconic status, adding a unique vibrancy to her portrayal of wildlife.

After the talk, you’re invited to join Hollie at Flagstaff Gallery, just across the road, where you can view her full exhibition and engage with the artist about her work. The collection will be on display until Sunday 11th of May.
