Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment, without judgment, and fully engaging with your thoughts, feelings, and sensations, as they arise. There are many ways to practice mindfulness and Marina will introduce you to some simple and easy steps to practice mindfulness.
About our special guest presenter: Marina holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling and a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy. She runs her private practice in Caulfield North where she mostly sees clients who suffer depression, addiction, anxiety and stress disorders. She mainly uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Focusing Therapy and Hypnotherapy in her work with clients. Mindfulness is an integral part of these therapies. Besides counselling, she has also been teaching English since 2009 and enjoys working with international students. She is also a professional dancer, a dance instructor and a performer. Besides dancing she has done yoga and breathwork for over 15 years. Her passion is working with couples and she is planning to become a couple therapist in the future.
