The Big Spill- Film Screening | Daily Grind
Description
In late October, a crew of surfers including Soli Bailey, Chippa Wilson, Belinda Baggs and Brinkley Davies (plus heaps more) loaded two boats in Broome and headed 300km out to sea, for a week-long expedition at Scott Reef, chasing one of the last wild waves in Australia.
The Big Spill is Surfers for Climate's biggest doco yet, with heroic doses of adventure and some fun waves around this 15-million-year-old coral empire.
Starring olive sea snakes, tassled wobbegongs, hawksbill turtles and Simon Baker, Hollywood leading man and lifelong surfer from Lennox Head.
Simon jumped on board to learn about the dangers of Woodside's plans to drill up to 50 gas wells around this epic place, and what we can do to save it. Plus score some surf.
Rated PG (pretty good waves)
