The Blue Oyster Bar is based on an imaginary leather bar popularised by the film Police Academy in the 1980s, it is a tongue-in-cheek, satirical and light-hearted take on a classic leather bar. We play 1980s and disco-era music at our Retro Leather night. It is fun, inclusive, and welcoming to all lovers of leather and the 80s music they played in their clubs and pubs back in the day!

The Blue Oyster Bar is a leather/fetish event that brings together diverse individuals for a night of retro music and social mingling. This is to celebrate Sydney Leather Week 2024. The Blue Oyster Bar pays homage to an era where community, resilience and music brought us together, as a subculture.

We welcome all the kink/fetish communities and their friends. 

We promote trans inclusion and encourage diverse individuals with a curiosity about kink/fetish to attend.
