The body, dress and self-portraiture with Ruth O’Leary
Event description
How does what we wear define us? How can we express ourselves through dress?
Join Artist and Educator Ruth O’Leary in the creation of your own garment, inspired by Ruth’s works of wearable art, and the rich history of artists using their bodies and clothing to explore self-representation. Grounded in the dynamic space of feminist practice, Ruth will guide participants in the creation of their own expressive garment. Participants will be invited to photographically document themselves wearing their design, which will be shared with them digitally.
Participants with all levels of experience and ability are welcomed and encouraged.
