The Brisbane 48 Hour Film Project

On July 4th, we kick off the exhilarating 48 Hour Film Project weekend! Beginning at 7:30pm on Friday, registered teams of local filmmakers will have just 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit their short films, ready to be presented at our premiere screenings.

After the filmmaking frenzy concludes, we’ll be hosting special screening events on July 16th and 17th, where your work will be seen on the big screen. Juries will then vote on the top films, with the winning project going on to represent us at Filmapalooza – a prestigious festival that features the best shorts from 48 Hour Film Project competitions around the world.

The 48 Hour Film Project weekend will culminate in an exciting awards ceremony where we’ll celebrate the incredible achievements of our talented local filmmakers. Join us for this adrenaline-fueled celebration of collaborative creativity as we unveil the diverse array of cinematic works that will surprise, delight, and inspire.
