• Why should I visit The Card Expo?

  Expect a fun filled day celebrating all things trading cards! Browse a huge range of vendors selling trading cards, sealed products, graded cards, accessories, artwork and collectibles. Meet fellow collectors, trade cards, discover new favourites and enjoy a welcoming community atmosphere.

  Your ticket also includes access to our free games and activities, competitions and prizes throughout the day, making The Card Expo much more than just a place to shop.

  Whether you're a lifelong collector or completely new to the hobby, there's something for everyone at The Card Expo.

• Is The Card Expo family friendly?

  Absolutely! The Card Expo is designed to be a fun, welcoming event for collectors of all ages. Whether you're a lifelong hobbyist, bringing the kids along, or introducing someone to trading cards for the very first time, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

  Alongside our fantastic range of vendors, your ticket includes access to free games and activities, competitions and prizes throughout the day, making it a great family day out.

  Children under 13 attend free with a paying adult, and we encourage everyone to come along, have fun and be part of our amazing community.

• What trading card games will be at the event?

  You'll find a huge variety of trading card games represented at The Card Expo. While Pokémon is our largest community, you'll also find vendors and collectors buying, selling and trading games including One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, sports cards and much more.

  Our vendors bring everything from sealed products and singles to graded cards, accessories, artwork and collectibles, so whether you're hunting for a grail card, completing a collection or discovering a new game, there's something for every collector.

• Can I trade cards at the event?

  Yes! Trading is a huge part of The Card Expo, and we actively encourage attendees to bring their binders and trade with fellow collectors throughout the day.

  We'll also have a dedicated Trade Zone, proudly sponsored by Collectr (@getcollectr), where you can meet other collectors, browse trade binders and make deals in a welcoming space designed specifically for trading.

  We simply ask everyone to trade fairly, be respectful of others and remember that all trades are made between attendees at their own discretion.

• Can I wear cosplay or dress up?

  Absolutely! As this is our Halloween themed event, we’d love to see attendees and vendors getting into the spirit by dressing up. Whether it's your favourite trading card, anime or gaming character, or a spooky Halloween costume, all are welcome.

  We simply ask that all costumes remain family friendly and suitable for an event attended by visitors of all ages. Please also avoid bringing realistic weapons or props that could cause concern to other guests.

  We can't wait to see everyone's amazing costumes!

• Can I buy tickets on the door?

  If tickets are still available, yes, you'll be able to purchase them on the door. However, we strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

  Our last event in Harrogate sold out completely, with no tickets remaining online or on the door. If you're planning to attend, we'd encourage you to secure your tickets as early as possible.

  Yes! There are several public car parks within easy walking distance of Wakefield Exchange.

• Is the venue easily to reach by train/bus?

  Bus

  Wakefield Exchange is on Union Street, directly next to Wakefield Bus Station and opposite Trinity Walk Shopping Centre. There is a free city bus linking to both train stations.

  Train

  Wakefield Westgate is a short 13-minute walk from Wakefield Exchange and Wakefield Kirkgate is 17 minutes away on foot.

• Is there food & drink available at the venue?

  Yes! There are plenty of fantastic food and drink options available inside Wakefield Exchange, so whether you're after breakfast, lunch, a sweet treat or a drink, you'll be well catered for throughout the day.

  A multi award winning coffee shop serving great coffee, delicious food and a warm welcome.

  La Chingada Tex Mex (Our favourite!)
  Authentic Tex Mex favourites including quesadillas, tacos, nachos, loaded fries and more.

  Crispy jacket potatoes, roast sandwiches, Yorkshire pudding wraps and loaded roast potatoes.

  With so many great options under one roof, you won't need to leave the venue to grab something to eat or drink during your visit.

• Is the venue accessible?

  Yes! Wakefield Exchange is committed to providing a welcoming and accessible environment for all visitors.

  The venue has worked with AccessAble to produce a detailed accessibility guide, allowing you to view the venue layout, step free routes and facilities before your visit. An Easy Read Guide is also available to help you plan your day.

  Assistance and guide dogs are welcome throughout the venue.

• Can I pay with card?

  Yes! Most of our vendors accept both card and cash, so you'll have no problem paying either way.

  That said, we do recommend bringing a little cash with you. Some vendors may offer a better price for cash purchases, and it's always handy to have as a backup.

  If you need to withdraw cash during your visit, there are several banks and ATMs just a short walk from the venue:
