The Club | The Old & New Theatre Company
Event description
The Old & New Theatre Company is delighted to present their production of David Williamson’s The Club.
“The Club is about the hangers-on, the end of loyalty, the coming of professionalism, big business and massive transfer fees. It’ about each and every club in the League and about soccer, rugby, and baseball too,” writes Lou Richards, former Aussie Rules champion. If you have ever belonged to a sports club, if you have been part of any organisation in which the will to win prevails and the trial of strength goes on in the clubroom long after the players have left the field – then you will know the men of The Club.
