Happenings Inside the 3-Day Huddle:

1. The College of Aspiring Artists (TCAA) is the institution of enrollment into our Association of Aspiring Talents in Sports, Music, Arts, Creativity, and Innovation. TCAA, like the NCAA, is focused on getting new talents ready for the major markets and professional careers.  This market now includes high school and college aspiring talents. Now with NIL, this history is (American History) at work. And the workforce development programs get more work and increased outcomes for their programs.  Now from our unique college model, opportunities that were once only available at the professional level are now being advanced in high schools and colleges. Our new model helps both talent and their close family and business network to optimize their full potential... and it's not just sports, TCAA brings our years of success with music and entertainment careers into this NIL space. 

2. Through multiple processes, TCAA brings curriculum and sponsors from profit and non-profit sectors. Our work has been documented successfully, including the Arkansas Arts Council in the following reports (Arkansas Creative Economy Project) In these reports, TCAA, The College of Aspiring Artists is listed as a member institution of the Arkansas Creative Economy Panel and is spotlighted as the new edutainment college model. A close look at our model is in the attached report, “Creativity in the Natural State outlines a clear narrative on the meaning of the creative economy.’  The study was overseen by The Arkansas Arts Council, The Arkansas Association of Two-Year Colleges, and Arkansas Science and Technology Authority. Currently, TCAA is one of few of the programs studied that has done credible work inside the creative economy. 

Funding was led by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation and other partners investing millions of dollars to oversee. We have done several successful projects and collaborations. This new development model has the greatest impact potential to date. It enrolls family members and other individuals who will learn the business of sports and music entertainment to further the talent and new agency and management skilled and subject matter experts who can all share knowledge and revenue-sharing from these new career pathways. Imagine employees gaining insight as they support their families.

3. This new tri-vocational model has poverty reduction through new career pathways based on the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities for aspiring high school and college talents; sports, music, theatre, spoken-word, innovative creative ideas such as coding, fashion, cosmetology, etc.  

Recently, TCAA with other partners wrote and received a grant award from USDA in 2019, the Rural Economic Development Grant (REDI). This grant covering the entire state further equips TCAA to advance poverty reduction and wealth creation opportunities. 

4. Activation: Opening Summit March 23—25, with a limited 18—45 entities/organizations/individuals convening for planning and strategy to introduce and place this high school and college creative economy NIL initiative in a tri-state region, beginning in Arkansas as listed below.
