The Community Plate Action Group Meeting - Planning a local Food Affordability Forum
Event description
WHO ARE WE?
We are The Community Plate. We are a community initiative, taking a collective approach to strengthening the local food system and improving wellbeing across Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula.
Our vision is "that we are all connected to food that is local, nourishing, and abundant".
We have been forming our collective over the last 6 years, and acknowledge that complex problems require collective and long-term solutions.
We are looking at ways we can improve affordability, accessibility and literacy/skills in regards to food.
WHAT IS THIS MEETING ABOUT?
We would like to plan a local forum promoting and creating ways we can collectively make food more affordable.
We would like to bring together community, resources, local champions, speakers, ideas and opportunities to make meaningful change - together!
Join our Action Group for this first meeting, where we will start to gather ideas around how we can make this forum a meaningful catalyst for change.
HOW?
The path ahead for the action group and forum will be created together - with a focus on what works, finding solutions, and having an impact.
WHO CAN BE INVOLVED?
All of us! Local community members, organisations, groups, businesses... we all have a valuable contribution and role to play in strengthening the local food system :)
