After World War I, flats were seen as a solution to Melbourne's housing shortage. By 1947, St Kilda contained a quarter of all flats in Melbourne and today, the area is a microcosm of early 20th-century flat development. Join City of Port Phillip Heritage Advisor David Helms for a walking tour that will examine the historical reasons behind why St Kilda became such a popular location for flats.
