The Cost of Exposure
Description
The Cost of Exposure is a live Mal Made masterclass for frontline workers, first responders and people working in high-exposure, human-facing roles.
We talk a lot about PTSD, burnout and “resilience”, but far less about the quieter ways repeated exposure can show up while you’re still functioning, working and getting shit done.
This session explores the space between “I’m fine” and a formal diagnosis.
We’ll unpack occupational exposure, common stress responses including fight, flight, freeze, fawn and flop, and the signs that can be easy to miss when coping has become your default.
You’ll also leave with the COST framework.
This is an educational session, not therapy, and there is no expectation to disclose personal experiences.
No resilience lecture. No quick-fix nervous system bullshit. Just language, context and a practical framework for recognising when the work may be costing you something
