Sensory Accessibility

Coming to The Creative Gathering can feel like a big deal, with lots happening and lots of people in one place. However, there are some great ways to take a break, calm your senses and recharge. There is a large open-plan connect lounge just inside the main hall with plenty of sofas, chairs, and cushions to sit and relax in where you'll find board games, colouring books, and note paper to write or doodle on! There will also be a weaving tent outside run by Reclaim the Void project where you can sit and learn to weave with like-minded people in a calm and relaxing environment. The venue is a short walk from the Rockingham foreshore which has a beautiful, shallow beachfront and calm waters. Attendees can leave the event and come back at any time throughout the day, just make sure you have your lanyard to show at the entrance on return.
