The Creative Pause - Yoga and Meditation for Creatives
Event description
When was the last time you paused? And no not your Netflix. A pause to breathe. A pause to cry (we love those). A pause to reconnect.
The Creative Pause is a mental health event with a yoga & meditation practice followed by a group discussion on creative wellbeing, covering topics such as imposter syndrome, burnout, comparisonitis and more.
The intention is to offer a safe, welcoming space for creatives to connect with others and themselves, and pause.
Everyone has a creative bone, so whether it is your profession or hobby, come and take a moment to celebrate your inner artist.
Pause and celebrate with:
Beginner friendly yoga practice: take tools from the mat to implement in your daily life as a creative. Guided by certified yoga teacher Ria Patel.
Meditation: Don't worry you won't have to "clear" the mind and think of "nothing". A beautiful way to pause, calm the nervous system and reconnect with your artist.
Unfiltered group discussions: (also facilitated by Ria), who start safe and nourishing conversations about mental health in the creative space.
A chance to meet other creatives who get it. A gentle reminder we are not alone in this journey.
Led by actor, dancer and yoga teacher Ria Patel, her experience as a dancer brings great body awareness and as an actor, she brings another layer of empathy to connect with her students on the mat. Yoga leaves Ria feeling connected and whole and that is her intention for when the students leave class, to feel connected and whole again.
