Join local creatives for a lively discussion exploring the opportunities, challenges and realities of working in digital media today.
Hosted by visual artist and illustrator Mimi Leung, the panel features marketing strategist and creative Grace Perta, game designer Jackson Nexhip and DJ/producer Benny Badge.
Together, they’ll share insights into their creative practices, career journeys and day-to-day work, while discussing topics such as building a creative business in regional Victoria, balancing creativity with strategy, creating meaningful connections in an increasingly crowded digital landscape and navigating the opportunities and challenges presented by AI.
The conversation will also explore how technology has transformed creative industries, opening up new possibilities for collaboration, inspiration and audience engagement.
Following the panel, guests will have the opportunity to meet the speakers, connect with fellow creatives and network. Whether you’re an established practitioner, emerging creative or simply curious about the digital media sector, this session offers valuable insights and connections.

Mimi Leung
Swirling with energy, Mimi’s bright illustrations, paintings and animations are a controlled explosion of colour and joy. Based in regional Victoria, Mimi was born in Hong Kong, grew up in London and gained a Masters of Communication - Art and Design at the Royal College of Art. She has worked as a visual artist and illustrator for over 20 years, with clients such as 7-Eleven’s Slurpee, Deloitte, The New York Times, University of New South Wales, Samsung and Adidas. @mimileungyeh
Jackson Nexhip
Jackson is a Shepparton-based independent Australian Unreal Engine game developer who began making games in 2018 after leaving his career in chemistry. He specializes in artificial intelligence, procedural world generation, and multiplayer. He also runs a YouTube channel where he teaches how to use Unreal Engine. When he's not developing, you are likely to find him at the skatepark or doing martial arts. His favourite games are Breath of the Wild, Minecraft, NieR Automata, and Celeste. @jacksonnexhip
Benny Badge
Benny is a DJ and producer, best known for his various recording alias and 80s Boogie revivalism. Over the past decade, Benny has carved a niche for his distinct sound, nurturing the careers of new artists and pushing industry envelopes along the way. Credits of note include his “Love Scenes” EP by Nite Class and the debut Silver Linings album “So Good To You”, which received a nomination for Best Soul/R&B Album at The Age Music Victoria Awards and named in The Vinyl Factory's top releases of January 2017. @bennybadge
Grace Perta
Grace Perta is a Shepparton based marketing professional, content producer and the founder of AM to PM Creative Studio and AM to PM Event & Content Creation. With more than 10 years of experience across marketing, media, education and the health and beauty industry, Grace has built a career around storytelling, brand growth and meaningful audience connection. Through AM to PM Creative Studio, she supports businesses with strategic organic social media marketing, brand development, content strategy and creative direction. Her event content business captures weddings, events and community stories through candid, emotion led digital content.
