Description

Bring the universe within reach on a pitch-black night.

The Dark Sky Discovery is our signature introductory experience. It is tailored specifically for families, regional travellers, and first-time stargazers.

These sessions run exclusively during our No Moon Windows when the sky is at its absolute darkest, completely unhindered by moonlight. Guided by our passionate astronomy team, you will look up at the spectacular southern sky and watch the deep cosmos come alive.

Peer through South Australia's premier research-grade telescope to view spectacular, faint deep-space targets like nebulae, ancient star clusters, and distant galaxies in breathtaking clarity. Step inside our world-class facility to experience unforgettable astronomical viewing, live digital imaging, and expert guidance on the objects viewed.

  • Family Adventure: Step into the shoes of a scientist for a night and explore the cosmos together.

  • Value: Full family access passes are available for $230.

  • Best For: Curious minds, families, and couples looking for a unique date night surrounded by "The Ultimate Quiet."

Please note: Our tours are weather-dependent. See our FAQs below for how we manage clear skies and our 100% weather refund guarantee!
