The Dessert Depot and RAK Brewery Christmas Cookie Exchange
Event description
If you’ve ever been to a wedding in Western Pennsylvania, you know there’s one thing guests look forward to almost as much as the “I do’s” — the cookie table. It’s a beloved Pittsburgh tradition where friends and family bake dozens upon dozens of homemade cookies, creating a stunning, sweet buffet that’s every bit as memorable as the wedding cake itself.
Each cookie represents love, family, and the joy of sharing something made from the heart — a tradition that perfectly captures the spirit of the holidays. 💕
This Christmas, we’re bringing that tradition to The Dessert Depot for our very own Christmas Cookie Exchange — Pittsburgh style! ✨
All kids under the age of 14 are FREE. If over 14 you must purchase an additional ticket.
🍪 How It Works:
Bake & Bring: Each participant should bring 4 dozen homemade cookies to share. Cookies MUST be dropped off between Friday November 28th-November 29th. You can drop off cookies at either RAK Brewery or The Dessert Depot. Cookies should be in an airtight container with a note of your baker and cookie name. You will NOT receive your containers back.
Send Your Recipe: Once your ticket is purchased you will receive an email from The Dessert Depot with a form to complete with your recipe so we can print and share a beautiful Cookie Table Recipe Collection for everyone to have. Printed copies will be available for purchase!
Be Creative: Classic or quirky, festive or flavorful — from snowball cookies to espresso shortbread, this is your time to shine!
Swap & Sample: We’ll set up the tables just like a Pittsburgh wedding — overflowing with everyone’s cookies for swapping, tasting, and admiring.
So gather your mixing bowls, warm up those ovens, and join us for a night filled with cookies, community, and Christmas cheer — honoring one of the sweetest traditions ever baked.
