Event description

Presenter: Lauren Christman LMT - MA00007042

Class Format: In-person, Hands-on

About the Class: The respiratory diaphragm is a key structure -- providing the engine of breathing, helping to stabilize the torso, organizing the movement of most organs, and being delicately responsive to our autonomic state. Let's explore 3 avenues for providing balance and ease to this powerhouse! After an initial review of its structure and placement we'll have three rounds of demos and practice sessions: myofascial, visceral and cranial. Handouts provided.

What to Bring: Please bring a bottom sheet and blanket/bolster if needed; wear comfortable clothing. Handouts with anatomical and technical details are provided. (No lotion needed.)

About the Presenter: Lauren Christman, LMT, CCST, CBSI/ATSI has been a bodyworker since 1994; currently her practice focuses on craniosacral, visceral mobilization and structural methods. She began her study and teaching of craniosacral and visceral techniques in 1995. In 2003, she incorporated Structural Integration (ATSI/Tom Myers), and Neural Manipulation (Barral Institute). Currently she leads Craniosacral Therapy — A Healing Art, a certification program for manual practitioners. With over 25 years experience teaching beginning and advanced students, Lauren brings a balance of precision, curiosity and humor to the classroom.
