    Event description

"Each of us can use our skills and talents to support local and international charities in their work."

During this online event, Cantabrian Anna Button, the Communications and Programmes Manager at Hagar New Zealand will share some of the ways in which Hagar is working to reduce slavery and trafficking. She sets the challenge for us all: "While what we offer may seem small and insignificant compared to the size of the issues we face, if everyone were to give something, then collectively there could be real change."

    Anna will share:

    • An overview of Slavery, Trafficking (referencing SDG Goal 5) and Hagar's work in this space
    • Some powerful examples of individuals who have made a difference in this space
    • What this means for us working in the local ecosystem of equity, access and innovation
    • How our consumer choices can shape the world

There will be a chance to ask questions at the end of Anna's presentation.

A zoom link will be sent in advance of this online conversation.
