    Event description

The community campaign to secure deep emissions cuts from Australia's Dirty Dozen polluters has momentum, but but the next two months are key to influencing the Albanese Government’s final decision on the Climate Safeguard Mechanism.

Solutions for Climate Australia, Friends of the Earth, and other groups are coordinating an MP meeting blitz in February and March.

We need to reach as many Labor MPs as possible to call for them to champion and stand up for a strong Climate Safeguard Mechanism that delivers deep emissions cuts this decade. We're counting on you to step up and get involved.

Join us for an online briefing to:

    • Get an overview of the Safeguard Mechanism and climate organisations’ recommendations to strengthen it.
    • Get tips on how to book in a meeting with your local MP and have an impactful conversation.
    • Hear from a community member who will report back on a recent MP meeting.
    • Find out how we'll track our impact.
    • Participate in a Q & A session.

No prior knowledge or experience necessary, just a passion for community campaigning and climate action.
