Curated for lovers of fizz, taste the full spectrum of Australian Sparkling wine from a handpicked lineup of producers at this special edition of The Drop In marking the National Wine Centre’s 25th anniversary.
Lounge on the lawns and enjoy a relaxed afternoon on outdoor terraces overlooking the Adelaide Botanic Garden, with a live music soundtrack to complete those party vibes.

Each ticket includes unlimited tastings for three hours (12pm–3pm), as you roam from producer to producer discovering how region, climate and method change the glass.

Art of Australian Sparkling Masterclass
For those who want to go deeper, join National Wine Centre Head Sommelier Andrew Bruce in a special Masterclass before the main event.
Time: 11.30am–12.00pm
Tickets: $54 + booking fee (only valid with purchase of The Drop In entry ticket)
Includes: 3 premium Sparkling wines and 3 matched canapés
The Art of Australian Sparkling takes you inside three premium Australian Sparkling wines made using three different methods, from fresh and fruit-forward Tank Ferment to age-worthy Vintage Traditional Method, each paired with a matched canapé designed to highlight texture, acidity and flavour.
Taste side by side as Andrew breaks down how method, region and climate shape style, and hear directly from the winemakers behind the wines about their approach to grapes, fermentation and ageing. You will leave with a clearer sense of how Australian Sparkling is made, why it stands up to the world’s best, and how to choose bottles for different occasions and food pairings.

Stay tuned for the stallholder announcements, coming soon! We're expecting 30+ wineries from across Australia, each showcasing 2–5 Sparkling wines.
- Will there be food available?
Delicious food options will be available for purchase on the day, with a menu designed by National Wine Centre Executive Chef Sato to complement your Sparkling wine tastings, ideal for picnic vibes on the lawns.
Stay tuned for the menu, which will include vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
- Can I buy wine to take home?
Yes, most of our stallholders will be offering bottles for purchase on the day to take home.
Many wineries will also offer order forms, so you can arrange for convenient delivery.

- I don't like Sparkling wine, is there anything else for me to try?
This event is ideal for Sparkling wine lovers, as well as anyone looking to experiment and try many different Sparkling wines.
However, for those who don't drink wine or don't enjoy Sparkling wine, there is no alternative ticket price so you'll still need to purchase a full-priced entry ticket.
The National Wine Centre bar will be offering additional drinks including wines by the glass, beer and soft drinks for purchase.
- Can I attend the Masterclass without purchasing an entry ticket?
Tickets to the Art of Australian Sparkling Masterclass are currently available only to those with a valid entry ticket to The Drop In: Bubbles Anniversary Edition.
- How can I get to the National Wine Centre?
The National Wine Centre is easily accessible by public transport or by car.
- Do you offer group discounts?
Yes! For the first time, we're offering a group ticket discount. Book 5 or more full-priced tickets in one transaction to receive 15% off your total.
