The Drowsy Chaperone
Event description
Eltham College presents The Drowsy Chaperone, a clever, toe-tapping comedy that begins with a lonely theatre lover playing his favorite 1920s cast album—only for the show to burst into life in his living room. This Tony Award-winning musical is both a joyful celebration and a satirical look in the rear-view mirror of Broadway’s golden age, exploring how theatrical conventions and societal norms have shifted over time. Full of mistaken identities, showbiz antics, and a delightfully tipsy chaperone, it’s a hilarious, heartfelt tribute to the magic (and madness) of musical theatre.
+10 and above with adult supervision, adult references mentioned in the dialogue, theatrical violence, strobe lighting effects
