Event description

Public Libraries Victoria in partnership with Raising Literacy Australia invites Victorian Public Libraries to participate in The Early Years Handbook for Public Libraries Webinar Series. The Webinar Series explores inclusive literacy practices from multiple perspectives and unpacks elements of the newly revised Early Years Handbook for Public Libraries. The intended audience is library teams.

The Webinar Series explores the role of public libraries in the lives of young children and their families. Through fostering and nurturing relationships, the development and provision of high quality programs, and connection to other programs and services, public libraries are uniquely positioned to support families in their role as children’s first educators. Each Webinar shares examples from the field, and seeks to provoke practitioner thinking about how best to build upon current practices.

All sessions will be recorded, so that team members unable to attend the scheduled session can watch and listen to the content offline.
