Early to mid 2017 we came across a 'small pub' known to the locals and travelers alike as, The East, The Railway Hotel Murchison East is

located 25mins South-West of Shepparton on the Goulburn Valley Highway, The East was originally built in 1880 (ish) and rebuilt in the 1920s

With publicans like the Phillips', Lucas', Carlos, O'Laughlins, Quinns,

Dianne and Reg, Lawlers, Gurt and Allison and currently with The Goldings' - The East has seen many of peoples from all walks of life.

October 2017 we opened the pub and started to get into The Swing Of Things!

2018 and 2019 were great years of getting to know our locals, the travelers, the community and all things Murch East!

2020 was a bit of a shocker, with having to close and open multiple times for a couple of years #thankscovid The last couple of years have been normal - with a fully licensed Bar, BottleShop, TAB, Bistro, CDS (Container Depost Scheme)

But now it is time, The Goldings' are moving out!
