Event description

The ecology of poetry: a connective writing workshop

Our living breathing bodies and their creations come from and are alive in ecosystems. Poetry can reveal and grow these connections. In turbulent troubled times connection is needed more than ever.

This workshop is an invitation into space and time to listen to yourself and the world around you. To find the words that are waiting and let them pour out. To be alive to your senses and the living breathing world sustaining you. In this workshop we will be hearing our hearts, hearing our ecologies, hearing each other and speaking some truths together. You might come away with a poem you love, and you might come away with tools to support poems to flow freely into the future.

Participants with all levels of writing experience are welcome. Please bring something to write with and something small enough to hold in your hand (this can be anything).

We will meet in Darug and Gundungurra Country. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and extend respect and solidarity to all Traditional Custodians on this continent and around the world. A percentage of artist profit goes to https://paytherent.net.au/
