Thu, 16 Oct, 5pm - 6:30pm AEDT

Event description

Join Canberra Glassworks as we host a panel discussion on The Ethics of Remaking, a conversation we believe is both timely and essential.

In an open conversation, the discussion will be held in connection with Ben Edols’ upcoming masterclass, Replicas, which explores historic glass forms as a way of learning and refining traditional techniques. The masterclass raises thoughtful questions about referencing, replication, and inspiration.

The panel will take place on Thursday16 October at 5pm, in the Hotshop, followed by drinks and informal discussion.

Panellists:

Aimee Frodsham Canberra Glassworks Artistic Director

Paul McInnes Canberra based artist, curator and design historian

Ben Edols Sydney glass artist and Replicas masterclass teacher

Aidan Hartshorn Walgalu/Wiradjuri artist and 2025 Glassworks exhibitor

Georgia Pike-Rowney Lecturer in Classics and Curator of the ANU Classics Museum
