A lot has changed in the last decade when it comes to accessible documents. While many give advice to avoid PDFs as an accessible format, this Q&A with international expert Adam Spencer will shed light on the advancements in technology and standards. Is the advice against PDFs outdated? While the reality was PDF content was inherently not designed to be accessible, has that changed and how so?

About the speaker:

Adam Spencer has been a global leader in the document accessibility field for over 10 years. He specializes in PDF accessibility, accessibility standards, and document usability by adaptive technology users. Adam is also the Vice-Chair of the Standards Council of Canada, which is responsible for the authoring of the ISO Standards for PDF and PDF accessibility. Adam volunteers on several Accessibility Advisory Committees, and is a speaker at conferences around the world, sharing his experience and expertise.
