How payment plans work

  • Your order will be reserved but sent to you only after the full payment plan has been completed.
  • A minimum upfront payment is required to secure your order. This includes a surcharge, a non-refundable cancellation fee, and a refundable deposit.
  • You’ll receive a notification before each payment attempt. You must ensure sufficient funds are available.

Event description

The Fixery is your go-to destination for having your favourite items repaired. Our wonderful volunteers will try to fix anything you can carry in – free of charge! The Fixery is operated by The Sydney Library of Things and generously supported by Northern Beaches Council.

PLEASE NOTE: All items must be clean. We can't sharpen saws or serrated knives or weld and we don't repair underwear, bicycles, electronics, jewellery or watches. We can repair one item per time slot.

To ensure we can provide the best service and experience for all, it’s essential to book your repair session in advance.

If a specialised part is needed to complete your repair, please bring it along with you, or our team will advise  where you can purchase it and you can book in to have the repair finalised next month.

WHAT WE FIX:

Furniture/Miscellaneous: chairs, shoes, toys - we'll try to fix any small item you can carry in.

Clothing repair: hems, elastic, seams, mending tears etc.

Electrical (small appliances): toasters, lamps, coffee machines, blenders etc.
