The Fixery: September 2025

The Fixery is your go-to destination for having your favourite items repaired. Our wonderful volunteers will try to fix anything you can carry in – free of charge! The Fixery is operated by The Sydney Library of Things and generously supported by Northern Beaches Council.

PLEASE NOTE: All items must be clean. We can't sharpen saws or serrated knives or weld and we don't repair underwear, bicycles, electronics or watches. We can repair one item per time slot.

To ensure we can provide the best service and experience for all, it’s essential to book your repair session in advance.

If a specialised part is needed to complete your repair, please bring it along with you, OR our team will advise where you can purchase it and you can book in to have the repair finalised next month.

WHAT WE FIX:

Furniture/Miscellaneous: chairs, shoes, toys - we'll try to fix any small item you can carry in.

Clothing repair: hems, elastic, seams, mending tears etc.

Electrical (small appliances): toasters, lamps, coffee machines, blenders etc.

Jewellery: when we have timeslots for jewellery we can repair costume jewellery only.
