In this four-part mini-series, you'll go behind the scenes to discover what really keeps pool water safe, balanced and inviting. From the hidden journey water takes through the hydraulic system, to the chemistry that can make or break a pool, each episode unpacks one of the Four Pillars of Pool Care in a practical, engaging way.
Forget dry theory. This is the science, the systems and the real-world troubleshooting that professional pool technicians rely on every day. Whether you're building your career or sharpening your knowledge, each 90-minute session will give you practical insights you can put to work immediately.
Session 1 – Circulation & Equipment (9 September - 5.00pm - 6.30pm)
Follow the journey of every drop of water as you explore the hydraulic circuit, pumps, skimmers, main drains, return inlets and why circulation is the foundation of healthy water.
Session 2 – Filtration & Hydraulics (16 September - 5.00pm - 6.30pm)
Discover what separates a good filtration system from a great one. Learn how different filter media work, why turnover matters, and how to size equipment for peak performance.
Session 3 – Water Chemistry & Balance (23 September - 5.00pm - 6.30pm)
Go beyond test strips and numbers. Understand the relationship between pH, alkalinity, hardness, TDS and the Saturation Index, and learn the correct order for balancing and dosing.
Session 4 – Sanitising, Problem-Solving & Safety (30 September - 5.00pm - 6.30pm)
Bring everything together as you tackle water quality problems, master sanitising principles, understand the 20/40/40 rule, and learn the safe handling and storage of pool chemicals.
