Ash Quartet: The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires & Britten
Description
Ash Quartet presents a recital of exciting and virtuosic music from the 20th century. From the tangos of Buenos Aires, the Southern Hemisphere's answer to Vivaldi's famous Four Seasons, to the beautiful and tumultuous sounds of Benjamin Britten's second string quartet, a musical homage to Henry Purcell, this one hour is a true exploration of transforming music from the Baroque era into the distinctly modern and brilliant sound of the last century.
