The Fundamentals of Co-Design Workshop - Ulverstone

Event description

Do you want to encourage people within your community to work together to develop solutions to problems?

Co-design is an open process encouraging participation and co-creation by those involved.  It enables a wide range of people to contribute when solving problems.  Co-design goes beyond consultation.  People involved become central to the process by utilising their owned experiences to solve problems.  By taking this approach we access fresh ideas and thinking from experts because of their experiences.   Co-design creates collective ownership of agreed solutions and puts into practice alternative, sustainable and cost-effective models and resources to address problems.

This one-day workshop will introduce you to the broad concepts of co-design including the definition, principles and methodology. During the workshop you will be provided with a ‘co-design’ toolkit consisting of a range of methods and tools. You will have the opportunity to explore these simple resources in an fun and interactive way that demonstrate how you can encourage  a collective group of people to identify problems within their community and then design and test a range of creative, resourceful and practical solutions to those problems.
