Event description

Hey there holons!

2020 has been a year defined by increasing uncertainty, complexity, rapid change, and continual disruptions… be it a global pandemic, wild bushfires or systemic racism and inequality to name just a few.

What we see emerging in Western Australia and elsewhere in the world is a new type of leadership, design and innovation that will help us all to thrive in the 21st century! Led by the transition to a circular economy in Australia, and supported by the Department of Water & Environmental Regulation in Western Australia...

We bring you our next event; an interactive online workshop and dialogue where we will be unpacking and exploring the future of design! From cool all the way to complex.

You’ll be hearing from and co-learning with the following design rockstars and innovation facilitators from both WA and abroad:

  • Chris Kueh, Design Educator at Edith Cowan University & Co-organizer of Service Design Perth Meetup (Perth, WA)
  • Erica Ormsby, Lecturer Design Thinking and Service Innovation at Murdoch University (Perth WA)
  • Joel Birch, Chief Lego Officer at the Very Serious Business Co. (Perth, WA)
  • Dylan Lamb, Strategic Designer & Ecosystem Lead at Holonic (Perth, WA)

The event will run from 4.30 pm to 6.00 pm AWST over Zoom and will include a 40-minute interactive activity using Miro (a collaborative online workspace). Both softwares are free to access and information will be provided to you prior to the event on how to use these tools as a new user.

All proceeds from this online event will be donated to Humanitix (an Australian social enterprise) in the support of social and environmental impact projects in our local community. We will be sharing the data on ticket sales so make your donation (flexible ticket pricing) count and support a good cause!

We look forward to co-learning and thriving together with you!
