    About Your Panelists:Ā 

    Nicole AmeyĀ is Nicole Amey is the 2022 Teens in Business Australian Entrepreneurial Educator, Year 12 Coordinator and Humanities Teacher who drives innovation for young people at Kepnock State High School, Bundaberg as well as building community engagement and strengthening the local innovation ecosystem. Nicole believes in entrepreneurial education as time and time again, she has seen the positive impact on students and staff. Nicole delivers entrepreneurial programmes through extra-curricular or programs aligned with the Humanities curriculum. Nicole is an intrapreneur, seeking to be involved in codesigning entrepreneurial programs and the development of a Global Entrepreneurial Credential. Nicoleā€™s industry engagement and involvement in existing ecosystem activities has seen her identified as an ecosystem enabler from across Queensland at the Regional Ecosystem Symposium with Dept Tourism Innovation and Sport. She has been recognised and contributed to national research alongside a team of Australian educators as part of the Entrepreneurial Educators Exchange (E3). Nicole is passionate about empowering young people and driving systems change.

    CalĀ Devney
    Dr. Cal Devney is the Project Manager of the Hydrogen Community Hub and a Senior Research Officer at CQUniversity. She actively engages with schools, industry, and community stakeholders to create hands-on learning opportunities that spark student interest in science and technology. Dr. Devney leads initiatives like the Central Queensland Hydrogen Grand Prix program, which connects students with real-world hydrogen technology, and she has developed hydrogen-focused STEM learning resources for secondary schools. Her work empowers students to gain relevant skills for future careers in clean energy and innovation.

    Dave Capill
    With over a decade of experience in education and leadership, Dave currently serves as the Deputy Principal of Gladstone West State School. A passionate advocate for STEM education, Dave was honoured with the prestigious Peter Doherty Outstanding Teacher of STEM Award in 2021 for his contribution in developing STEM programs in Central Queensland. In addition to his commitment to enhancing student achievement, he have led significant initiatives in curriculum development, data-driven teaching practices, and inclusive education. Dave holds a Bachelor of Education, a Gradual Certificate in Educational Leadership and is currently studying a Master of Education. He continues to drive innovative teaching approaches and foster strong partnerships within and beyond the school community. Recognised for his ability to manage both academic and operational aspects of education, Dave excels in building capability among staff, promoting student success, and driving innovative practice in teaching and learning.

    Scott Millar is a business leader, keynote speaker, and generational consultant on a mission to help organisations navigate the ever changing future of work. Launching his business in early high school, Scott has spent the past 10 years working with young professionals and business leaders around the world to explore how technology and innovation are changing the way we live, work, and learn.
