The Future of Work: Employee Ownership and Economic Transformation

Join us for a provocative and insightful event featuring Graeme Nuttall OBE, the International Ambassador for Employee Ownership Australia and a global authority on employee ownership.

Date: Monday, 25th November 2024

Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Venue: RMIT FORWARD - 58 Cardigan St, Carlton - RMIT Building 55, Level 3, Room 3

Graeme Nuttall OBE, former partner at international law firm Fieldfisher and trustee director of the Institute for the Future of Work, will challenge our perceptions and share insights on:

  • The explosion of pro-employee ownership legislation worldwide
  • Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs) and their role in economic transformation
  • The intersection of employee ownership with the future of work.

Provocative questions we'll explore:

  • Is it truly possible for employees to own the businesses they work in?
  • Can employee ownership really work in practice?
  • What kind of business structure is required for successful employee ownership?
  • What can we learn from international experiences in employee ownership?
  • What skills do employee-owners need to make this model successful?

This event is a unique opportunity to engage with one of the world's leading experts on employee ownership and its potential to reshape our economic landscape. Challenge your assumptions and gain new perspectives on the future of work and business ownership.

Hosted by 888 Co-operative Causeway in association with RMIT FORWARD and Employee Ownership Australia.

Supported by the Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals and RSA Oceania.

Don't miss this chance to be part of a pivotal conversation on the future of work, employee empowerment, and innovative business models.

All proceeds go to support 888 Co-operative Causeway - not-for-profit voluntary-run co-operative co-working space in the heart of Melbourne supporting the social economy.
