The Gathering 2027
Description
The Gathering is a weekend event for men of all ages run by the Centre for Men and Families Australia. A lot has been said about toxic masculinity and the damage it does in our society. The Gathering is a celebration of healthy masculinity where men can be equipped to be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
Whether you are new to the CFMF community, or a regular face, there will be something for you. The Gathering will include electives and workshops to help you navigate the beauty and pain of life as a man, along with plenty of time to relax, unwind and connect.

Keynote Speaker: Leon Cossar
Leon Cossar M.A is an Australian poet, mythologist, storyteller, and leading teacher in the field of rites of passage. Through keynote speaking engagements, Leon seeks to educate individuals, communities, and organisations about the importance of meaningful rites of passage for boys and men. His work centres on supporting men to navigate the middle passage — otherwise known as a midlife crisis — so they experience this unavoidable season of a man’s life as one of the great male initiations, not a “crisis” to subvert. Leon runs wilderness rites for men in the form of vision quests and pilgrimages, while providing 1:1 mentorship and group courses in both online and in-person settings.
