~Country is Calling~

The Gathering: Country is Calling event to be held on Bundjalung Country in February 2024.

The Gathering program consists of 20 workshops held over three days and two nights. For this special Country is Calling edition of the event, we will focus a large portion of our workshop programming on workshops, panels and talks that educate, inspire and empower women to become caretakers and leaders for the protection of land, waters and community.

We believe in the power of women’s leadership and as we step into Grandmother Time (a prophesied power shift from the patriarchy to the matriarchy) the power of women gathering together to learn and reconnect is ever more potent.

The Gathering program includes over 20 workshops covering; sustainable living, connection, de-colonisation, ceremony, earth-based skills, embodiment practices, activism, health and wellness, community building and the reclamation of our magic.

We want to focus the theme of our February 2024 Gathering on Country, Climate and Change-making, inspiring and activating our attendees to step into their leadership power for the planet.

Women, across all cultures, have always been the carers in communities. Our Indigenous women were carers not only for their children and families, but also for all plant and animal kin on their Country.

They tended to the earth with deep wisdom and a gentle touch, knowing which plants they could forage and harvest when, and how to live in alignment with the rhythms of Mother Nature.

Colonisation and capitalism have destroyed much of this knowledge and these strong ties – for all people, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous. The Gathering reconnects women to their deep ancestral relationship to this planet and to nature, sparking within them an awareness of their power and role as protectors of these lands and waters.

This is a drug & alcohol free wellbeing based event.

A weekend event for female identifying woman located in the lush nature surroundings of our great Wollumbin.

This all ages event is curated for women, by women.
