Description

Autumn Equinox Retreat: Yin Yoga, Sound Healing & Community

An afternoon of reflective journaling, soothing yin yoga, and an immersive sound bath to honour the autumn equinox and connect with community.

As the wheel of the year turns and we enter the autumn equinox—a time of equal light and dark—we invite you to pause, ground yourself, and intentionally transition into the new season. This two-hour mini-retreat is designed to help you release the high, outward energy of summer and turn inward, making space for rest, reflection, and deep nourishment.

The Journey:

  • 45-Minute Yin Yoga: We will begin with a slow, grounding Yin practice. By holding gentle floor-based postures for extended periods, we will target the deep connective tissues, releasing physical tension and calming the nervous system.

  • 45-Minute Sound Bath: Transitioning seamlessly into a cocoon of blankets, you will be bathed in the healing vibrations of crystal singing bowls and soothing instruments. This immersive acoustic experience promotes cellular healing and profound relaxation.

  • 30-Minute Journaling & Community: We will slowly awaken and gather in a circle to integrate our experience. Enjoy a warm cup of herbal tea and a slice of delicious homemade cake while we journal, reflect on what we are ready to let go of this autumn, and connect with like-minded souls.

Important Information for Attendees:

To ensure this space is safe and deeply supportive for everyone, please review the following before booking, and reach out to us with any concerns.

  • Essential Oils: We use high-quality essential oils in the space to enhance the sensory experience. If you have any sensitivities or allergies to strong scents or specific oils, please inform us so we can adjust accordingly.

  • Sound Bath Precautions: Sound healing is generally very safe, but it is not recommended for those in their first trimester of pregnancy, individuals with sound-induced epilepsy or those with a pacemaker. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure.

FAQs

  • What should I bring?

    Wear comfortable clothing

    Layers and socks

    Water bottle

Optional: your own journal and pen

We will provide yoga mats, blankets and eye pillows but feel free to bring your own.

  • Do I need any experience with yoga?

No! Yin yoga is a style of yoga aiming to target deeper tissues and joints. We will hold the poses for 3min on average and use the bolster to assist us. There will be different options and we invite you to choose the one that works for YOUR body, it is not about how it looks, it is about how it feels.

  • What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you lie or sit comfortably while being immersed in sounds and vibrations from instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, and other instruments.

  • What happens during a sound bath? What does a sound bath feel like?

Everyone experiences it differently. You may feel deeply relaxed, notice physical sensations from the vibrations, experience a wandering mind or simply enjoy some quiet time away from everyday distractions.

There’s no need to do anything—the intention is simply to relax, listen, and notice how you feel.

  • Do I need any experience with meditation?

Not at all. Sound baths are suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike.

  • Will I fall asleep?

You might! Many people become so relaxed that they drift into sleep. That’s completely okay.
