Event description

The Gender Pay Gap Forum - Targets, Intersectionality & Future Proofing

Join our panel of gender equity experts for an ‘in conversation’ and Q&A session
Vanessa Paterson, Julie Burton, Carol Corzo, Roman Ružbacký

Topics include

  • Gender pay gap and drivers.
  • Let’s talk about targets.
  • Intersectional analysis - the missing piece.
  • Preparing for WGEA reporting & target setting on 31 May.
  • Securing your GPG progress.

The gender pay gap is everybody’s business. Understanding the drivers of the GPG is an essential component of a successful organisation’s business strategy.

WGEA now requires relevant organisations to set targets before 31 March 2026.
  • What are the best targets for your organisation?
  • What impact will this have on your organisation’s GPG?

Learning to use your data effectively and develop the right targets will set you on the path for developing practical and achievable action plans to secure your GPG progress.

Please join us for a lively and informative discussion.

In this session, you will hear from Vanessa and Julie, two gender equity experts with a combined 40 years’ experience working with the Federal Government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA). They have an extensive understanding of gender pay gaps and importantly, the strategies and actions organisations can implement to reduce the gap.

Joining them are Carol and Roman, two Diversity, Equity and Inclusion leaders, who have been working in gender equity for over 20 years. A key focus of their work has been on intersectional gender pay gap analysis, including recent analysis and audits for organisations reporting to WGEA and the Commission for Gender Equality in the Public Sector (CGEPS).
