A night with Sappho: Eora, Sydney

There's a mutual tension, affection and admiration. I can feel you making eyes from across the room. In the buzz of it all, let's put everything else aside, just for a moment and be together - in conversation, in laughter, and in sweet company.

We'll leave the night with a gentle, "When will I see you again?".

Welcome to Third Rodeo's Lesbian/Queer Social Gathering, A night with Sappho. An intimate social networking function to get back into the swing of things. We have 60 spots available. To yarn, flirt, make mates - the night is yours.

Come join us on the evening of Friday 22 November for social drinks at, Otis Bar (Upstairs), Leichhardt. It is a casual, but charming atmosphere, privately booked out for you to socialise among the Lesbian/Queer community. Grab your bloody shiraz or Coke no sugar from the bar and turn strangers into dearest companions. 

Event Breakdown:

We'll greet ya at the door, tick ya name off and give you a name card. 

★ Name Game: You never know who you'll meet. Get given a guests name upon arrival and make it your mission to find them. There’s a question on the back to ask them if you’d like. This game creates chatter, banter and memories. The connections are boundless.

Note: Once you ask someone their name, even if it is NOT your person, you should exchange questions (-:

★ Uno & Card Games will be available.

★ Call me cards: Keep in contact with each other. Write your details down on one of the 'Call me Cards' displayed around the venue. It's a lovely gesture, an old fashion trick that works like charm! 

This is operating at a licensed venue. Please do not BYO. This event is designed for persons 20+. Please note, you will be exposed to loud chatter, large crowds, background music and mood lighting. Photography will be present, although, if you wish to not have your photograph taken, let us know (: This venue is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. We are working assiduously towards functions that are fully disability accessible.

Third Rodeo Background

THIRD provides a safe dedicated Lesbian/Queer space for people in their 20s+ to make connections. The atmosphere is relaxed, charming, a bit raunchy at times, but most importantly its a safe community. Come solo or with pals - whatever you decide, you will be left made with real connections.

We've hosted several successful events in Naarm/Melbourne, Eora/Sydney and Meanjin/Brisbane! I've personally met all my beautiful queer friends through this. I understand how daunting it may be to rock up alone and speak to people, but you'll soon realise that everyone wants the same thing and that everyone is so incredibly friendly. If you haven't already seen my Tiktoks or Instagram, the vibe is like The Planet from the L Word - HAHA!
