The Good Fight - Remembering the Spanish Civil War

2026 marks the 90th anniversary of the Spanish Civil War and the International Brigades.

On July 25th, join us as we honour those who lost their lives in the fight against fascism while examining how Western governments have supported fascist regimes throughout history and continue to do so today.

Join us for a screening of The Good Fight, a documentary featuring firsthand interviews with veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Battalion, who fought as part of the International Brigades during the Spanish Civil War. Through their own words, the film tells the story of their struggle against fascism on the battlefield.

Following the screening, we will host a discussion on fascism today, including how Canada and the United States continue to support the fascist Israeli occupation, the hypocrisy of the Foreign Enlistment Act, and the rise of fascism in Canada.

Food, drinks, and merchandise will be available for purchase throughout the event.

100% of proceeds from all tickets, food, drink, and merchandise purchases will be donated to a family currently in Gaza.
