THE GOOD OIL Eucalyptus Distillery Museum
Event description
A celebration of the mighty trees that are so central to Australia’s history and identity.Â
Join writer Sophie Cunningham and wood craftsman Damien Wright to talk about what’s special about eucalypts and whether we understand their place in our landscape. Sophie is researching the history of the eucalyptus oil industry. Damien creates furniture and installations exclusively from recycled timbers. Together, they bring their deep knowledge of, and love for, eucalypts to the home of the good oil.Â
Works by local artists will be on show, too, Rosie from Squirrel Gully Saffron will be selling her locally grown saffron, and Kate from Inglewood Wildflowers will also be there. You can meet the Loddon Plains Landcare’s Will Sanson and the Friends of Kooyoora, to find out more about what’s being done in the region.Â
Local produce on sale from 1.30pm, conversation 2pm - 3pm. Free: all welcome, bookings recommended:
