The Gray Brothers live at Fremantle Buffalo Club with Clare Perrott
Description
Broome's saltwater alt-country pickers The Gray Brothers are touring WA with their new politically charged single ‘Black Mountain’. After festival appearances at New Farm, New Country and Blues at Bridgetown, the brothers will be joined by local favourite Clare Perrott at Fremantle Buffalo Club for an evening of homegrown folk and americana.
Since releasing their debut EP Live at Prospect Studios, Albert and Elwood Gray have toured nationally, appeared on the main stage at Nannup Music Festival, supported Alex Lloyd, and made their Triple J debut. Their new single 'Black Mountain' was written in response to the Western Australian EPA’s recommendation to approve Texan gas company Black Mountain Energy’s fracking project in the Canning Basin. The song calls on Roger Cook to step up and put a ban on fracking in the Kimberley.
Clare Perrott is an up-and-coming folk artist from Perth, Western Australia. Influenced by Big Thief, Faye Webster and Joni Mitchell, Perrott brings sincerity and an honest approach to alt-folk/americana.
