The Great Chocolate Mystery - Outdoor Theatre at Royal Botanic Garden Sydney

Discover how our favourite treat has come to us from the rainforests of South America in this hilarious 50 min interactive performance.


Will Sherlock Block and Miss Cocoa solve the mystery of chocolate? Who, what, where and how did this scrumptious treat find its way into our mouths? Join our heroes on a journey of discovery to meet Montezuma, Spanish conquistadors and a French Queen. A deliciously funny time-travelling adventure! (BYO chocolate treats to enjoy while watching the show).

When: Wednesday 2 October 2024 | 11:00am or 1:00pm (50min show)

Where: Lawn near Rathborne Lodge, Royal Botanic Garden Sydney OR wet weather venue nearby if it is very wet. If wet weather is forecast please see your email 5pm the day prior to your show.


Who: Recommended for children aged 4 - 10 years with an accompanying adult

Cost: $16 per person (children and adults) | Foundation and Friends Members $14 per person. Children under 12 months free with a paying adult ticket.

  • No refunds will be issued for cancellation of tickets purchased online. 
  • A request for a date change can be made in writing no less than 72 hours prior to the program commencement time. The new event date must be within one month of the original booking date. Approval of a date change is at the discretion of the BGoS.
