    Event description

For updates including game schedules, stay tuned to the official TGSS Facebook page. This will be your go-to for information! To purchase in-person tickets to the event, please see the separate ticketing page here.

The Great Southern Slam is the world's biggest roller derby tournament AND the inaugural WFTDA Oceania Regional Championships - and you can watch it from the comfort of your home, anywhere in the world!

From June 8-10th 2024, roller derby teams from every corner of Australia and New Zealand will converge on the Adelaide Showground to battle it out on the track once more at The Great Southern Slam (TGSS).

With 45 teams from 40 AU/NZ leagues competing in 65 roller derby bouts over three days on four tracks, TGSS is the biggest thing this side of the equator.

TGSS Division 1 is also the inaugural WFTDA Regional Championships for the Oceania Region in 2024! Division 1 teams will be competing for two invites to the WFTDA Global Championships in Portland, Oregon.

Sounds amazing, right? And it gets better.

If you can't make it in person, we'll be livestreaming all games on all four tracks with the support of Beardcasts. A virtual watch pass is only $15AUD for the whole weekend - that's less than 25 cents a game. Plus your purchase will help make TGSS possible now and into the future.

Livestream links will be sent to the email you purchase the ticket with.

The Great Southern Slam is proudly brought to you by Adelaide Roller Derby.

Adelaide Roller Derby acknowledges that the land we train and play on is the traditional lands for the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains, and pays respect to Elders past and present. We recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land.
